The Apollo butterfly (Parnassius apollo) on Gotland, Sweden: An assessment of habitat preferences and the negative impact of grazing

Hi and welcome,

My name is Hannah Norman, and I am an Applied Ethology and Animal Biology master's student at Linköping University. For my master thesis, I studied the Apollo butterfly on the Swedish island Gotland in the Baltic sea. The subject of my thesis was to assess the habitat preferences of both larvae and adult butterflies. The understanding and knowledge of a species habitat preference is important before implementing any habitat management since the management should be designed to benefit the needs of the intended species.
