Vesicle transport

In comparison to vacuoles, vesicles have a significantly higher speed and are significantly further displaced.

Figure 1: The first frame and overlay (red: track; yellow: vesicle starting position) of a 5 min movie of p100 vesicles and p60 vacuoles are shown.

Figure 2: The speed was compared between vacuoles containing the small form and vesicles containing the big form.

Firgure 3: The displacement was measured for four vesicles and four vacuoles (insert) from the same cell. Vesicle movements show a higher directionality.
