Contemporary Sensor Systems (TFMT19)
The course treats all different parts of a sensor system based on chemical- or biosensors. It is strongly emphasized that all parts of a sensor system are equally important. Lectures are given about chemical sensors, definitions and general description, electronics for sensors, signal processing, sensor networks, sample handling, sensory panels, and miniaturized sensor systems. A number of different sensor systems are exemplified, leak detection systems, liquid sensing, the Biacore instrument, glucose sensors, computer screen assisted technology. The course is given by guest lecturers from academia and industry.
