The Steller sea lion

Steller sea lions (Eumetopias jubatus), are found from the coast of California up to northern Japan, with the highest concentration along the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. The population is divided into two stocks – the Western population (west of 144 ºW; Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, Russia and Japan), and the eastern population (west of 144 ºW; California, British Columbia and south east Alaska).
