Conclusions

Weed seedlings

- Weeds and crop affected each other;  resulting in a significantly reduction of biomass. This indicates the existence of competition for water between the species.

- The weeds differed in the way the responded to competition from Sorghum and how they affected Sorghum.

-Weeds' different responses to competition from Sorghum was dependent on that they responded differently to different levels of water stress.
