Waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus defassa)
Waterbucks are territorial and known to feed within a small area (Kisia et al. 2002). They graze mostly on dry ground but occasionally enter water to graze or to escape predators (Estes 1997). They are often found grazing within a few kilometres from permanent water points (Shahar & Skinner 1988; Estes 1997). Their main diet consists of tall grass and rushes (Kingdon 1997) high in protein.
