Topi (Damaliscus lunatus)

Being a member of the Alcelaphini, topi and their close relative kongoni belong to one of the most numerous bovid tribes. They are related to the wildebeest but less migratory.

The topi is similar to the kongoni when it comes to the digestive system and mouth morphology. Both kongoni and topi measure about 5 cm over the front of their mandibles (Murray & Illius 2000).
