Sensory and Behavioral Physiology (Prof. Matthias Laska)
Welcome to the Sensory and Behavioral Physiology group. Our research focuses on comparative studies of sensory performance in different species of animals including humans. In particular, we are studying the senses of smell and taste and are looking for possible correlations between a species´ chemosensory performance and its ecological niche. Some of our research is conducted at Kolmården Zoo and some of it also in Mexico (in collaboration with the Instituto de Neuro-Etologia of the Universidad Veracruzana). For more details on our research see the homepage of Matthias Laska and the staff list.
