The Equimpment

 We have three main facilites here for MBE growth and studies:

• Ramses, a Si-MBE chamber
• Baltazar, a more modern Si-MBE system
• The STM/MBE system

Ramses

Here is Kenneth at Ramses, the oldest MBE chamber in our possession. The sources are knutsen cells that is designed
and built here at the department.

This is out bix where we etch the tips. Devibrated and isolated from any air flow and sounds that might disturb the etching process.
