Summary of Ian Booker's activities

Research

Research focus: Deep levels and their influence on carrier lifetime in 4H-SiC and methods to improve carrier lifetime (e.g. oxidations). A secondary task is electrical characterization of III-N.

Main instruments: DLTS/MCTS/DLOS, some TRPL and a little low-temperature PL, microscopy

Responsibilities: The DLTS/MCTS/DLOS setup, the CV/IV setup, the thermal evaporator ‘Venus’ and the oxidation furnace ‘Sophia Mk.II’.
