Summary of Björn Lundqvist's activities

Research

My research area is characterization of novel semiconductor materials, mainly silicon carbide. The focus of my work is measuring the ability of these materials to transfer heat. This is important for the development of new electronic devices as shrinking component size and increasing power leads to problems with heat build-up which in turn may reduce device performance and lifetime. In a nutshell you could say that I heat stuff up and then study the heat as it spreads.
