Research at IFM Biology
Biology is relevant for many ethical and practical societal question: from genetic engineering that alter the characteristics of different organisms, to animal welfare issues and nature conservation. IFM Biology consists of about 30 researches and teachers and approx. 20 graduate students. Head of division is prof. Per Jensen.
Focus on Biology
Education at IFM Biology is often closely connected to research projects. Throughout their studies, students get to meet almost all active researchers. When time has come for the final thesis most projects are carried out within the realm of an active research project. Here are a couple of current suggestions within ecology, molecular genetics and zoology.
